The “Spring Sprout” program initiated by China has been officially launched on 5th April, 2021 in Sri Lanka. The staff of China National Cable Engineering Corporation project department in Sri Lanka actively joined the volunteer team to assist overseas compatriots to inoculate COVID-19 vaccines.

The vaccination address for Hambantota at Sri Lanka is located at Emergency Treatment Center，Ground Floor, Public Services Building, Hambantota Port. We, China National Cable Engineering Corporation (hereinafter referred as CCC), have appointed our employees, Mr. Gao Jincheng and Mr. Ma Menghao to participate in the volunteer activity of the “Spring Sprout” program at Hambantota. Mr. Gao Jincheng was responsible for coordinating materials and guiding inoculators in the Inoculation waiting area. Mr. Ma Menghao was responsible for collecting Inoculation records and paying attention to the physical conditions of inoculators in the Inoculation observation area. Their participation contributes to carry out the “Spring Sprout” program in a prudent, safe and orderly manner.

More than 100 Chinese citizens of 8 companies/institutions have taken the first dose of vaccine this day at Hambantota, among these inoculators, Mr. Song Hailong and Mr. Fu Chungeng from CCC organized CCC’s construction labors to complete the first dose of vaccine successfully. According to the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, thousands of Chinese citizens are going to inoculated with Chinese vaccines in Sri Lanka.
